Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Londorossi Gate – Shira Gate – Shira Camp 1
After breakfast, drive to Londorossi Gate for registration before continuing to Shira Gate. Begin your Kilimanjaro hiking adventure through lush rainforest and scenic moorland landscapes. Trek steadily to Shira Camp 1 (3,505m), enjoying spectacular views of the Shira Plateau along the way. Dinner and overnight at camp as you begin acclimatizing for your Mount Kilimanjaro climb.

Day 2: Shira Camp 1 to Shira Camp 2

Day 3: Shira Camp 2 to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

This proven “climb high, sleep low” strategy helps your body adapt to the elevation and increases your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak successfully. Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

The trail is steep yet manageable, offering incredible views of the mountain’s rugged landscape. Upon arrival, enjoy an early dinner, rest, and hydrate while preparing for the midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak. A good night’s rest is essential for the challenging summit push ahead.

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Summit day begins just after midnight with a challenging ascent under the stars toward Stella Point (5,739m) on Kilimanjaro’s crater rim. From there, continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa, where you will witness a spectacular sunrise and celebrate your achievement. After taking photos at the summit, descend via Barafu Camp and continue to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for dinner and a well-deserved rest after the most demanding day of your Kilimanjaro hiking adventure.

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Arusha

Upon arrival at the gate, complete park formalities and receive your official summit certificate. A transfer vehicle will then take you back to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax, enjoy a hot shower, and celebrate your incredible Kilimanjaro hiking achievement.
